The cat’s out of the bag and it’s not because of the bat signal.
Jason Momoa took to Instagram this week with a post all but confirming that Ben Affleck will be reprising his role as the Caped Crusader in “Aquaman 2.”
“REUNITED bruce and arthur,” Momoa, 42, captioned the snaps of the two actors cozied up and having a grand ole time. “Love u and miss u Ben WB studio tours just explored the backlot alright. busted on set all great things coming AQUAMAN 2 all my aloha j.”
The post concludes with a video of the “Game of Thrones” alum running into fans filming him on their phones in in the midst of a studio backlot tour, ostensibly getting a sneak peek at Batman’s return.
“Well it’s not a f–king secret anymore, is it? Sorry, children. That’s what happens, Warner Bros., when you walk out of your set and there’s our fans,” said Momoa, waving to fans on a studio tour.
He added with a laugh, “Well, we tried to keep it a secret.”
A return to DC isn’t the biggest development in 49-year-old Affleck’s life of late.
The “Gone Girl” star — whose last Batman stint was in “Zack Snyde’rs Justice League” released last yea — earlier this month tied the knot with Jennifer Lopez in Las Vegas a little over a year after Bennifer reunited. The couple was previously engaged in the early aughts and ultimately went on to marry other people and have families of their own before Affleck and the Bronx-born pop star, 52, got back together last year.
