Kate Winslet returns to film ‘Lee’ after ‘slipping’ on set

Kate Winslet will this week continue portraying Vogue cover model-turned-World War II correspondent Lee Miller after falling on the film set of “Lee” in Croatia on Sunday, Deadline reports.

“Kate slipped and was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure required by the production. She is fine and will be filming, as planned, this week,” read a statement previously shared with the outlet.

Ellen Kuras’ film, which Winslet told the outlet last year “is absolutely not a biopic,” also reunites the Oscar winner, 46, with her “The Holiday” co-star Jude Law.

“What we wanted to do was find the most interesting decade in [Miller’s] life, the one that defined who she was and what she became because of what she went through,” said Winslet at the time. “That is the story we want people to know about Lee more than the many other parts of her life.”

Marion Cotillard, Andrea Riseborough and Josh O’Conner also star in the film.

Winslet took home her first, and as yet only, Academy Award for her starring role in “The Reader,” in which she played a former concentration camp guard.
